A standard table tennis table is a rectangular surface, 2.74 meters long and 1.525 meters wide, with the playing surface 76 cm (approximately 2.5 feet) above the floor. It is divided into two halves by a net that is 15.25 cm (6 inches) high. The table is typically dark-colored and matte, usually dark green, dark blue, or black.
